Operating problem
Cross-border e-commerce into the Kingdom was constrained by onboarding and merchant-onboarding procedures running at the pace of physical paperwork in a digital era. Delivery success rates suffered. The Kingdom's positioning as a regional logistics hub was held back by a process bottleneck the technology should have removed years earlier.
Intervention
We deployed the cross-border stack against the SPL cross-border challenge as a single integrated program: onboarding automation, the tracking and orchestration core through LIS, carrier and marketplace integration through Omni-Connect, and the operational analytics layer feeding SPL operations. The work ran out of an embedded team with senior product, solution architecture, and delivery leadership reporting jointly to SPL Digital and the SPL program team. Two-week sprints, monthly steering with both stakeholders, a quarterly business review tied to the cross-border onboarding outcome.
Measured change
A live cross-border platform serving Saudi Post operations. The Universal Postal Union featured the partnership, which cut merchant onboarding from three weeks to under three days and reached a 98% delivery success rate.
Transfer / operate model
The platform now operates under managed support with SPL teams running day-to-day and the team inside the program for improvement and regional export.
Accountability line
SPL Digital, SPL program leadership, and the Infinite PL / GN TEQ product team.
Merchant onboarding cycle, customs data quality, carrier handoffs, tracking, billing, and reconciliation.
Two-week delivery sprints, monthly steering, and quarterly business review tied to onboarding outcomes.
A productized cross-border stack moved into live postal operation.
Track record
A direct contribution to the Kingdom's logistics-hub ambition
Cross-border friction holds back logistics-hub ambitions. Reducing it compounds across the entire trade economy: for merchants, for marketplaces, and for the citizen waiting on a parcel.
A productized stack, proven in national operation
The cross-border stack arrived at SPL as a finished product, not a build-from-scratch program. Deployment, not development, is why onboarding fell from three weeks to under three days.
Available to other postal operators
The same platform stack and operating playbook is now in active conversation with postal operators across the region. Saudi-led, UPU-featured, ready to deploy.
